ENDOWMENT LECTURES IN NEUROSCIENCES
In the year 1982, a formal request was made to the Andhra University to institute an Endowment lecture in Neurosciences by Dr.K.V.Chalapathi Rao and Dr.V.Satyanarayana who deposited an amount of Rs.25,000/- towards corpus fund. The matter remained unattended till 1997. It was at the request of the then Principal, Dr.K.Surya Rao, former VC of Andhra University Dr.M.Gopalakrishna Reddy was kind enough to transfer an amount of Rs.50,000/- (including the interest accrued) to the account of Andhra Medical College. From then, we had the fortune of conducting 15 Endowment lectures.
